One of the things I forgot about and am sort of having fun remembering, even though it wasn’t super fun at the time, was how *pissed off* people were at camgirls for having wishlists! People had 0 qualms over calling teenage girls “whores”, “to their faces” in guestbook comments or blog posts!
I just came across an old html file I’d saved of StileProjectDotCom’s front page circa 2003, where Stile wrote a short blog post essentially trying to give all the camwhores a pep talk, and advice to ignore the haters because haters are meaningless. Behold our benign overlord dispensing wisdom…
